- Hi, I'm Philp Between 616 and 509 B.C.E, the Etruscans ruled Rome and we were divided into to classes upper-class was the Partians and Lower-class was us the Pleabieans. We are the Plebeians we make up 95 percent of Rome. We don't have much call in the government but we still have to fight for Rome. We were mostly peasants, laborers, craftspeople, and shopkeepers.
- Even though Rome was now a republic, the patricians held all the power. Only they could become senators or consuls. We had to obey their decision.In 494 B.C.E me and the rest of the pleabians marched out the city and we waited till the Partians made our comdands happen. Without out us they had really little army so they had to make a choice. The plebeians' revolt led to a major change in Roman government.
- The first thing we demanded was that the laws be written down so that the patricians had no way to change them. Those over-powerd people finally gave in. We are really happy but that was only the first thing that happened. Then we gained the power to Veto and overrule actions by the Senate and governor.
- The partisans agreed to let us elect officials called tribes and Plebs YAHHHH. Onforatonly we still had less power than then. About 200 years later we protested a lot to get equal power we thought it wasn't fair they had more than us. Then in 367 B.C.E, a new law stated one of the two consuls must be a plebeian and we held seats in Senate.
