America is where all my mothers hopes lay, in 1949 my mother lost everything her mom and dad ,her husband ,and her two daughters.
She believed that in American you could be anything, that you could be rich .”you can be a prodigy too” she said to me when I was nine
We didn’t immediately picked the right kind of prodigy we tried a lot of stuff but in time we saw a Chinese girl playing the piano so my mother made me play the piano
It wasn’t long after I was participating at a talent show playing the piano, but scince I didn’t quite tried to play the piano correctly my performance went horribly wrong
I never played the piano after that even when my mother insisten but I could see the disappointment on my mother’s eyes but she had given up hope
On my 30th birthday my mother offered the the piano to which I said no, shortly after she passed away soI decided to take the piano to my new apartment then I tried playing it and it was easier than I remembered
