  • The invention of the telephone
  • For the first time ever, people would finally see the telephone for the first time on March 7th, 1876. This invention was a huge success and grately benefited people by giving them access to communicating with one another without having to be right by them.
  • Aha! I have finally figured out a way to transmit sounds telegraphically!
  • The Stock Market Crash Of 1929
  • The infamous stock market crash of 1929 had at the time affected about 15 million Americans, leaving 30% of the U.S. workforce unemployed. Billions of dollars were lost this day, leaving thousands of investors wiped out of their accounts. The crash was also given the nickname "Black Tuesday", presumably because of how quickly it wiped out money from many people. This whole crash is what caused the Great Depression.
  • MLK's I Have A Dream Speech
  • This great speech given by American civil rights activist and Baptist Martin Luther King Jr. was delivered to over 200,000 people at the March on Washington that took place on August 28th, 1963. His powerful words were used to convey his concern about lack of freedom and equality for all people, specifically African Americans.
  • I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.
