  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • This story starts in a lab in Geneva, Switzerland in the 18th century. Dr. Frankenstein experiments on a dead man hoping to bring him back to life. The doctor succeeds and the man comes to life but, not as Dr. Frankenstein wanted. So, the doctor rejects the monster. This scene leads up to the monster rampaging because Dr. Frankenstein rejected him.
  • Falling Action
  • So, since Dr. Frankenstein rejected the monster he went on a rampage throughout Central Europe. This event leads to the monster getting mad at Dr. Frankenstein and confronting him.
  • Resolution
  • Dr. Frankenstein and the monster finally meet back up in the woods. As they encounter, the monster confronts the doctor but then realizes that he just wants a friend. So, the monster asks Dr. Frankenstein for a friend but the doctor refuses to create him a companion. This event leads up to the monster getting very angry and running away.
  • Dr. Frankenstein was determined to find his monster and get rid of him once and for all but, as the doctor grew more determined he also grew crazy. This event helps create a clearer picture of why the doctor grew so delirious.
  • The monster found Dr. Frankenstein in a cabin with Sir Robert Walton (who had rescued the doctor from the cold). The monster apologized for everything he had done to hurt the doctor and Europe. Then, the monster thanked Dr. Frankenstein for creating him but, the doctor had gone delirious and didn't know what the monster was saying. What the monster said and how he thanked Dr. Frankenstein showed a sense of gratitude in the film (which is the theme that I found).
