- Monsieur Loisel's eagerness and willingness to please Mathilde becomes his downfall when she loses the necklace
- The return
- She was walking back home from the party and she realizes the necklace is missing
- She really needs the necklace back The husband goes to the jeweler to buy a new one and it costs a ton!
- The husband and wife go to return the necklace and the owner tells them it was a fake necklace and they bought a very expensive necklace and it turns out it was fake.
