- Enzo: Well I am responsible for a lot of things
- Enzo: Of course!
- Gelo: I literally was just studying last night about you, so what do you do in my body?
- Gelo: Oh really? Can you tell me some?
- Enzo: We enzymes are catalysts that accelerate the rate of chemical reaction
- Enzo: Well, we do it by lowering the activation energy that results in speeding up the reaction
- Gelo: Oh and how exactly do you do it?
- Gelo: I literally was just studying last night about you, so what do you do in my body?
- Gelo: Oh really? Can you tell me some?
- Enzo: We enzymes are also involved in many regulatory mechanisms that allows metabolism to adapt to changing conditions!
- Enzo: But that's not all of it, did you know that your body produces 22 different enzymes and some of us are found in fruits, veggies, grains, etc.
- Gelo: Wow!
- Enzo: But in order to do all of that we require a binding site
- Enzo: It is called the active site, the area of attachment
