- This next type of unemployment is Seasonal Unemployment.------------------------------------------------------------------This is Kayla. She works as a lifeguard at the community pool during summer.
- Cyclical Unemployment
- During the winter time, she is unemployed because the pool is closed during winter.This is a seasonal job, meaning it only employs people during the certain season it's open in. When it closes for a season, the employees are seasonally unemployed.
- Cyclical Unemployment
- When summer starts again, Kayla is right back at it at the community pool.The season where her seasonal job is open has started, therefore she is employed again.
- Cyclical Unemployment
- The last type of unemployment is Cyclical Unemployment.----------------------------------------------------------------This is Daisy. She works a 9 to 5 as an insurance worker.
- Unfortunately, a recession has begun, and the company she works for doesn't have enough funds to keep her employed. She is laid off, and is now cyclically unemployed.
- She will be unemployed from her insurance job until the recession ends, and she might be invited back to work.
