  • Once South China tigers roamed the wild of south China , living alone in dense wet forests.They are carnivores so they preyed on deer ,birds ,and monkeys . They can consume 18 to 40 kilograms in a single meal.
  • The Chinese forestry administration is trying to move the tigers to other areas of captivity to help repopulate, and to stop inbreeding .
  • The South China tiger is located here.
  • In the 1970's there were over 4,000 South China tigers they were considered pests by the government and hunted so now due to habitat loss and poaching for their bones and pelts.
  • Get a move on .This forest needs to be cleared for the new parking lot!
