- The story begins when Awiyao was remarried to Madulimay. It was held at night, in a mountain village in the Philippines.
- CLIMAX
- Awiyao goes to the house of his ex-wife, Lumnay because he didn't saw her among the dancers at his wedding ceremony. Awiyao explained that he needs to follow their traditions by marrying another woman, because she could not give him a child. Awiyao comforted Lumnay with words of affirmation and kindness. Lumnay told him that she still loves Awiyao.
- FALLING ACTION
- Awiyao offered her some of the things that they both own when they were still married including their house, however, she refuses to receive them. She only asked that she wants to keep the beads because it reminds her of his love for her. Awiyao left when a member of their tribe called him to go urgently at the wedding dance.
- RESOLUTION
- Lumnay tried to stop their tradition of marrying another woman if the first wife could not bear a child. However, when she arrived at the wedding dance, she stopped and just walked away, for she realized that Madulimay is already his wife. She knows the fact that she couldn't do something about it anymore.
- Lumnay remisce the memories that she had with Awiyao , how he had the urgent desire to marry her after she gave him a cool mountain water from her coconut shell. Then Lumnay sit on a big rock and felt loss among the bean plants that surrounds her.
- A few more weeks, a few more months and a few more harvest to came, but seems like nothing matters. Lumnay would be holding the been flowers, when the morning comes. Lumnay's fingers moved a along, long time among the growing bean pods.
