- OH, NOO!! what will jim think about me? He will say that I look like a coney island chorus girl
- I hope Della likes my gift. She has been wanting it from ages.
- I hope you like my gift dear. Let us cherish this lovely moment together.
- This is Scene 1, and Della has just arrived home from the hair salon, where she has gotten her haircut and is contemplating what Jim would think of her.
- yes, yes you are absolutely right, jim!
- well, you can not use your gifts now but you can use them later as you cut your hair
- This is Scene 2, and Jim had just arrived at the apartment and was standing outside the door, thinking about Della and hoping she would accept his pricey gift.
- But One question, why did you even your hair in the first place?
- My dear Jim, I did not have enough money to get your gift and I was desperate to buy you a gift to show how much I love you so that is why I cut my hair.
- This is Scene 3 when Jim gives Della his pricey and valuable gift and expresses his thoughts on her liking the gift while waiting for her to tell him that she does.Jim advises Della that they should enjoy this moment together.
- Oh, yes! before I forget, I need to give your gift too. So, please give me your watch.
- ummmmm.....let us just keep our gifts aside as i do not have my watch because i actually sold my watch to by the combs as I also did not have enough money for the gift
- This is Scene 4, when Jim realizes Della won't be able to use her gift this Christmas since she cut her hair, but Jim assures her that she will be able to use it later.
- This is Scene 5, where Jim asks Della why she cut her long, blonde hair, and she tells him the truth, despite her fear that he would say something negative because he had questioned her about her hair.
- This is Scene 6, when Della wants to present her gift and asks for Jim's watch, but Jim is hesitant to give it and ultimately tells the truth about what he did to his watch, and Della realizes that Jim won't be able to utilize his gift because he sold his watch.
- Oh i see so seems like we both can not use our gifts as i do not have my hair and u do not have your watch.
