Storyboard Text

  • My teacher asked us to do a presentation about  storage devices but I haven't done anything yet!
  • Hey bro, why do you look so upset?
  • Oh I see. Well, I can help you with that. Just sit down and relax!
  • There are some types of  storage devices. They are  HDD and SSDs, optical storage devices like CD Disc, floppy disks and RAM.
  • RAM is the primary storage device of a computer. HDD is Hard Disk Drive and it is a magnetic storage device. SSD is Solid State Drive and like the name it is completely solid-state.
  • Both HDD and SSD can be external or internal but SSD is stronger than HDD and can store more.
  • Oh so, SSDs are better than HDDs?
  • Well, even though it has larger storage, it is more expensive than HDD. So, if you are on a budget, you should consider about that too.
  • I see. I see. So, how about floppy disks. What are they?
  • Oh yeah, my aunt told me about it before. Since she worked at the office, she had to use those all the time. But what can we use instead of floppy disks?
  • They are used for transferring data from computer to computer but nowadays we don't usually use it anymore because it can only hold small amount of data.
  • Alright! I think that's enough information for a small presentation. Thanks a lot for sharing!
  • Well, we can use USB drives like memory sticks and we can also use optical discs like the one we used to watch TV with.
