- Park looked back up at the girl. She was standing there."Hey you," the bus driver yelled,"Sit down!"The girl started toward the back of the bus, Right into the belly of the beast.God,Park though stop. Turn around.

- Park: "He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch lines. There's a place in his chestnuts below his throat that makes her want to keep promises."
- Elanor: " Red hair, wrong clothes. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough."

- "I don't like you,Park; she said sounding for a second like she actaully meant it,"I ....' -her voice nearly disappeared- 'sometimes I think I live for you. '

- "I don't know what is has to do with me,Eleanor said. "It has everything to do with me,Park answered. No, she put her hand on his chin and made him face her. " I don't even know what is to be Korean; beyond the obvious." 'Yes, exactly beyond the obvious," and thens he kissed him. He loved it when she kissed him first.

- "Im going to write,'For Eleanor, I love you. "Park.'" "God. don't write that, my mom might find it." Park gave her a school picture. It was from October, but he already looked so different now. They hung out in his bedroom after and managed to sneak kisses while they looked throughallm of Park's old school pictures.
