The story by O Henry says that 2 friends were close they agreed to go and make a fortune and come back 20 years later at the same place Jimmy was loyal to him. and he was loyal to his job but bob was a criminal in Chicago so he had to be arrested but jimmy was not ready so he sent someone else.
