- Crusades began when Christians fought for wealth during the holy war.
- For God.... And riches
- French and Italian lords captured Jerusalem in the first crusade.
- Pope Innocent and French knights sailed on a journey to capture Constantinople. They ended up attacking cities for wealth.
- We have captured Jerusalem
- First Crusade
- Turks united forces and started taking back cities
- We should unite forces and recapture this city!
- Second Crusade
- Yeah! And many more cities after this one.
- Three European rulers band together to attempt to recapture Jerusalem for the Muslim ruler Saladin. They failed and king Richard, one of the three European rulers, made a truce with Saladin.
- Now we shall recapture Jerusalem from Saladin.
- Third Crusade
- Constantinople shall be ours!
- Fourth Crusade
- We want the holy land back!
- An unorganized crusade carried out by young people was called the children's crusade. Their goal was to regain the holy land for Christianity. They failed and most of the crusaders ended up being sold into slavery.
