  • Uranus was not proud of how some of his children looked like so he put them in a dark pit. Gaea, their mother was angered by Uranus and had asked Cronus and his other brothers to save their cyclops brothers, and hecatoncheries to rise up against Uranus, their father.
  • Would you like something to drink
  • Sure
  • Cronus went to war with his father and was able to overthrow him. But, he never saved his Cyclops and Hecatoncheries brothers from the dark pit. Gaea was angered by Cronus because she loved all her children, and so, she started to plan her revenge.
  • Aaaah!
  • Attack!
  • Later Cronus married his sister Rhea and they had 6 children. But, Cronus was worried that his children would try to overthrow him like he did to his father. So Cronus ate his children at birth, so that the prophecy could never be fulfilled. Rhea wanted at least one child to love and take care of, so when it came to Zeus her youngest child she put a stone in baby clothes and passed it off as a baby.

  • Once Zeus grew to be an adult, he wanted to overthrow his father and get his siblings back. The goddess Metis helped him do so. She was able to convince him to drink a potion. Little did he know...
  • that the potion would make him spew out his kids. Since they were gods, and were swallowed whole, when Cronus spew them out they were fully grown adults. Cronus was very mad and started a war with his son Zeus. Zeus and his siblings didn't kill their father, but they did capture him.
  • After Zeus and his siblings captured his father, they then banished Cronus from his kingdom and deprived him of the supreme power. Cronus's son Zeus then became the new supreme god. He also gave all his sisters and brothers something to have power over, as a god or goddess.
