  • I'm King Henry VIII. I created the Anglican Church.
  • I'm Martin Luther. I am a German Monk and translated the Bible.
  • I'm John Calvin. I believe in predestination.
  • I feel that the Church has gone wrong.
  • I believe that mankind cannot control or change anything in this earth life.
  • Wow, I never thought of this before.
  • The Reformation splits the Catholic church forming a new type of Christianity (Protestantism). Martin Luther, Henry VIII and John Calvin were all part of this significant event.
  • My wife cannot produce a male heir and I wish to divorce her.
  • The Roman Catholic Church does not support divorce.
  • Martin Luther didn't agree with the idea of indulgences and wrote a thesis on called the Ninety-Five thesis. He nailed this thesis to the door of the Church.
  • Protestantism is wrong!
  • Catholicism is wrong.
  • Calvin preaches his ideas on predestination and the Christian religion. He wanted to set up a theocracy (religious leaders rule the government). Calvin writes his theology and publishes his theological book: Institutes of the Christian Religion.
  • The reformation helped us to be more free in our religion.
  • Henry VIII didn't agree with the law that he couldn't divorce. He split away from the Roman Catholic Church and created a new one so that he could achieve this called the Church of England.
  • Many wars occurred from arguments surrounding the reformation. One of these was The Thirty Years War fought in Germany, killing around 25-40% of the population in Germany.
  • The Protestant Reformation impacted many and ideologies, as over 30,000 protestant denominations formed over time and changed the laws and beliefs of the Catholic Church for the greater good.
