Storyboard Text

  • We are not done yet. Why don't you and Mom start dinner at our cave?
  • Jobs
  • We are done!
  • In the New Stone Age, people worked in groups or little towns. People assigned other people and themselves jobs to do.
  • Yes
  • Do you guys all know what your jobs are?
  • Yes
  • Lets play a game!
  • Sure!
  • Shelter
  • Zack and Emma live in the Old Stone Age and they are doing their jobs. Zack is helping his father with hunting and Emma is helping her Mother with gathering berries. Usually, the woman and girls picked berries and fruits and the Men and boys hunted.
  • Ugh. Mom we don't want to move!
  • Korra and Jake live in the New Stone Age. Some jobs were basket makers, traders, weavers, farmers, and toolmakers. Focusing on one job made their job faster and easier. Because of this, that made time to relax and take care of other things.
  • You're welcome!
  • Thank you for letting me stay at this wonderful village.
  • This is important because now, people work together and things will be done faster and easier. Also, they can spend time with their family more often. Unlike in the Old Stone Age.
  • You're welcome!
  • Thank you for being so kind!
  • Jenny and Clair live in the Old Stone Age and they live in a cave. They are also called Nomads. Every so often, they move. And they both hate it. In that time, people usually lived in caves or in tent-like structures. People also moved often to get new berries and new animals to hunt.
  • Time to get packed up. We are moving again!
  • Olivia lives in the New Stone Age and they live in a little house made out of stacked bricks and mud. The houses were usually round or rectangular. Sometimes, people added stones and sticks to the mud to make the walls stronger. People put little openings in the walls (They used them as doors) and used ladders to climb up.
  • This is important because people have better shelter. They won't freeze or won't be too hot. People also don't have to move very often.
