Storyboard Text

  • No problem. What do you need?
  • Hey! Thanks for meeting me here.
  • I need to know everything about adverbs!
  • OK so, adverbs are what modifies a verb,an adjective,or another adverb,
  • Well actually it's not a lot.
  • OK now what does that entail.
  • Sure. How about this,"Bob is an extra careful person." Now tell me what the adverb is and what it modifies.
  • It entails that an adverb will tell you where, when, how, how often, how long,to what extent, and how much. It will tell you this about a verb,an adjective ,or another adverb.
  • That is correct!
  • Okay. I think the adverb is uh extra and it modifies the verb...careful.
  • Can you give me an example of an adverb?
  • Yeah so like when the adverb is before or after the word it modifies it will modify the verb. Then when the adverb is in between it modifies the helping and action verb.
  • Now let me tell you where to easily find adverbs. The thing is they can be found before, after, and in between words.
  • Oh,okay.
  • Ohhhh,that makes sense.
  • Well the way you can tell the difference is that is if the word being modified is a noun or pronoun it is an adjective. Though if the word is a verb or adjective then it is an adverb.
  • Oh OK. I think I got it now.
  • But wait what is the difference between an adverb and adjective?
  • No problem! I´m just happy I was able to help.
  • OMG thank you for helping me.! I completely understand now.
