  • Quarting Act - March 24, 1765
  • Im going to be staying with you for a lil while
  • What? We barely have enough to support ourselves.
  • Stamp Act - November 1, 1765
  • Here some money to pay off some of the debt.
  • Townshend - 1767
  • NO TAXS!!!!
  • The Quartering act required colonist to provide supplies and housing to troops. This enrage the people because they were in a time of peace which led to the revolt against england and the US delcaring their independence.
  • Tea Act - 1773
  • Taxs!/ Already. I don't have all the money right now but i swear i'll get it to you by the end of the week.

  • The rise of taxes in order to pay off debt after the Seven year war. This upsetted the American colonist and led to the american revolution
  • Intolerable/ Coercive Acts - 1774
  • Do to yall horrible behavior, Taxs will rise, etc.
  • After the failing of the quartering act, Great britain pass a law of townshed. Which was taxes on imported good to help pay high officals. This caused the colonist to boycott british goods.

  • American colonists was force to pay high taxs for tea to reduced the amount of tea to help a struggling company. the money gain from the taxs was used to repay debt from Europe and to prevent bankrutcy. Colonists boycotted tea imports and protested
  • Great britain passed harshed laws to punish massachusetts colonists for their involvement in the boston tea party. Great britain wanted to contain rebellious colonies which led to the american revolution.
  • Thomas paine wrote common sense to pursade and inspire people to break away from Great Britain tyranny. He pointed out how the british system failed to respond to there people needs and that the british government didnt have the necessary evil.
