Storyboard Text

  • We should kidnap the son of a wealthy man.
  • Sumit, Alabama
  • “'Hey, little boy!' says Bill, 'would you like to have a bag of candy and a nice ride?'
  • “Red Chief,” says I said to the kid, “would you like to go home?”
  • “Aw, what for?” he says. “I don’t have any fun at home.
  • Bill and Sam looking for an easy way to get 2,000 dollars.
  • Dear Ebenezer Dorset, We have your boy concealed far from Summit. You can have him restored on these demands: two thousand dollars in bills, at midnight, and same mailbox as your reply. If you fail to comply, you may never see your son again. These terms are final and if you do not accede to them, no further communication will be attempted.-Two Desperate Men
  • They catch their victim, a 10-year-old boy called Johnny, the son of a wealthy man named Ebenezer Dorset. They approach the little boy with a promise of candy.
  • Dear Two Desperate Men,I have received your letter by post, in regard to the ransom of my son. You seem high in demands so I propose a counter proposition, which I believe you will accept. Bring Johnny home and pay me two hundred and fifty dollars, and I will take him off your hands. Come at night so the neighbors do not suspect anything.-Ebenezer Dorset
  • Next, two criminals are not ready for Jonny's crazy actions. Calling himself “Red Chief” and pretending he is in a fantasy game of cowboys and Indians he drives both men crazy especially Bill. They try to make him hate this experience but Johnny had other plans.
  • Here you go $250
  • Then the kidnappers make Johnny's father an offer, “You bring Johnny home and pay me two hundred and fifty dollars in cash, and I agree to take him off your hands.”
  • The kidnappers were undecisive if they should do the offer but, “what’s two hundred and fifty dollars, after all? We’ve got the money. “One more night this kid will send me to a bed in Bedlam. Besides being a thorough gentleman, I think Mr. Dorset is a spendthrift for making us such a liberal offer. You ain’t going to let the chance go, are you?”
  • So at the end the kidnappers took Johnny home and lost. Finally, we can see that if you take the easy way out, sometimes things can go worse.
