can you tell me a story please!

Once upon a time , there was a hare , it was very proud of it's speed .One day the hare saw a tortoise which was crawling slowly , the hare wanted the whole forest to know about his speed so he decided to ask the tortoise for a race , the slow creature happily agreed to the hare's request and they decided to have the race the very next day .

Soon the day arrive for the competition to begin , all the animals were very exited for the race to start, everyone gathered together and soon all the animals started cheering for the hare because they knew that there was no way that the tortoise could beat the hare.

In the middle of the race the hare thought that the tortoise was way behind it so , he decided to take a nap , but the hare did not notice that he had slept for a very long time and the tortoise had already caught up

The tortoise had almost finished the race but then all of a sudden the hare woke up! and to his surprise he saw that the tortoise had beaten him , the hare was so shocked and he ran as fast as he could but he lost , the hare was so ashamed of himself and he learnt his lesson . Moral- never be too proud of yourself
