The Wooing of Beppo Tate The summary of chapter 11 In chapter 11, It was said to be mango season, the mangoes are eaten by both humans and cows. But on a Saturday evening disaster strike, Mrs.Belmont cow ate a mango and couldn’t digest it properly due to the fact the mangoes weren’t ripe so the seed was firm and couldn’t be swallowed, causing the cow to have difficulty breathing, in other words, the cow was choking on the seed. This caused a crowd of people to surround Mrs. Belmont house but then Mr.Tate came to the rescue and help save the cow by ordering Mrs. Belmont to get a bar of soap and a basin of water, he then rubs the soap into the basin while Mrs.Belmont holds it after that he pour the mixture into a bottle and poured it into the cow throat causing it to spit out the mango seed. Mr. Tate was cheered for his actions. After all the excitement, As usual, Mr.Tate and Mrs.Belmont began arguing. When beppo and Mr.Tate got home, Beppo was feeling sorry for Mr.Tate because he doesn’t have a wife to help him around the house, It was also mentioned that Mr.Tate might have feelings for Mrs.Belmont and that might be the reason he was sad after leaving Mrs.Belmont house cause she wouldn’t accept his nice gestures, but this is just an opinion of Beppo and Roy.
