- Hi everyone, I am Arnav. Today I am going to tell you about the various effects and consequences of climate change.
- Just like this greenhouse shown here, the emissions created on Earth especially the greenhouse gases get trapped in the Earth's atmosphere case large scale effects in environment and climate
- Climate change includes both the global warming driven by human emissions of greenhouse gases, and the resulting large-scale shifts in weather patterns
- But the most crucial factor is the BURNING OF FOSSIL FUELS
- There are various causes of climate change. Some major ones are - 1. Increased livestock farming2. Deforestation3. Excessive emission of greenhouse gases through various means
- Now let us discuss some of the main consequences of climate change
- The most critical result of climate change is the melting of glaciers and ice caps due to increased temperature
- The results may vary with the extremes. Sometimes droughts are caused and other times - FLOODS
- As a result of melting of ice caps, the sea levels rise making the coastal area more vulnerable to flood every year
- Nature has given has everything we need. Therefore, it is our moral duty to return the favour by doing everything we can to stop climate change
- Other consequences of Climate Change include - 1. Reduced agriculture yields2. Health impacts 3. Declining water supply
