  • Different races and how each of them use drugs in America
  • In 2017, we see the highest substance use in mixed race as well as the Native American population. It is followed by the Black population followed by the white community by 1.5% and then Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders. We see the least amount of drug use by Hispanics and finally Asians.
  • But why? How can we spread awareness
  • any policies? Is increased commercial use having a impact
  • How prevalent the use of tobacco is in each age group and how its changed over the past decade and a half
  • Tobacco use includes cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, cigars, and tobacco pipes. We see the highest tobacco use in 18-25 year olds in earlier years. In 2016, 26-34 year olds are found to be the highest age group using tobacco. Meanwhile 16-17 year old tobacco use significantly dropped throughout the years.
  • Why are males more likely to use select substances? Is women drug use upcoming?
  • The use of different substances by men versus women
  • In 2016 and 2017 we see mostly male use over female use in four different kinds of drugs. We do see identical misuse of prescription drugs between male and females in 2016. Binge alcohol use and tobacco use seems to be the most used by both genders.
