  • Dogs have an Unconditioned Response (UCR) to the Unconditioned Stimulus (UCS) ,food, by producing saliva
  • I will ring this bell (Neutral Stimulus) before bringing the food to the dog for a week and look at the results
  • The dog is still producing saliva even when i ring the bell before bringing out the food, i will remove the food (UCS) and see what changes.
  • The dog is still producing saliva even though I have removed the food.
  • The dog has started to realise that the bell (NS)is associated with the food coming out. The bell is now a Conditioned Stimulus (CS)
  • The dog now has a Conditioned Response (CR) to the bell (CS) by producing saliva when it is rung
