- Britain and France both wanted control of North American Land
- I need this land for my fur trade!
- The Ohio country is mine!
- We should continue our trade because it is mutually beneficial. Also, we would like to request your help in defeating the Iroqouis, who have sided with the British and plan to remove all of us from these lands.
- Very well. I shall have some of my bravest warriors assist you they should be stationed strategically in the woods for that is where they will be most useful in defeating the English.
- We shall stand our ground.
- Men, we may have lost this battle, but we must quickly construct a fort to prevent a French invasion and position ourselves for further westward expansion in the future.
- In order to prevent the French from completing the construction of Fort Duquesne, the governor of Virginia sent a millitia led by George Washington to take the fort over. The British surrendered on July 3, 1754. The next day, the British began the construction of a fort necessity Just 40 miles away in order to not lose all control they had over the region.
- Starting on May 15, 1753, the French built Forts Duquesne in order to control the Ohio River Valley both for settlement and for trade.
- We will not allow the British to expand any further westward into land that rightfully belongs to the people of France.

- The British government called for a meeting of deligates in Albany, New York, to discuss how they were going to coordinate the colonies. Delegations from seven colonies adopted the Albany Plan of Union that was suggested by Benjermine Franklin. However, each of the colonies was too self-sufficient to work together to make the plan a reality.
- I present the Albany Plan of Union. The best and only plan we have to coordinate colonial defences against the french.
- After the 450 killed and 500 British casualties that happened in 1755 during Braddocks Blunders. Prime Minister William Pitt donates money, men, supplies, and forces of British forces to conquer Canada. The British surround and take Qeubec in 1759. They also defeated the French at Montreal in 1760.

- TThe French surrendered, signed the Treaty of Paris(1763), and almost all of their land in North America to the English, and what land they had west of the Mississippi was given to the Spanish as compensation for their loss of Florda.
- As a result of their victory, the British now control a significant amount of North America. Resentment amongst Britain and the colonies grows because of the excess taxes that were levied on the colonists in order to pay off Britain's war debts, i.e., the tea tax, stamp tax, etc.
- A chain of events has begun that will eventually lead to the American revolution.
