The Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca in 570. At first, Muhammad's grandfather took care of him. When his grandfather died, his uncle took care of him.
Moving to Medina
Muhammad married Khadija. She was a beautiful and noble woman that Muhammad worked for. She admired his skills and wanted to marry him.
Conquering Mecca
We're taking over.
When Mohammad was meditating in a cave, he heard the angel Jibreel telling him the words of God. He learned that he can go to heaven if he worshipped the only true God.
Death
Political leaders in Mecca were threatened by Muhammad's teachings and they made life difficult for him. In order to start an Islamic community, Muhammad moved from Mecca to Medina with his followers in 622.
We're leaving
In 630, Muhammad conquered Mecca and was seen as the true final Prophet of God. He dedicated the shrine to the God of Abraham and removed all the idols in the Ka'aba.
The Prophet Muhammad continued to lead his community in Mecca and became a great religious, political, and military leader. He died in 632.
