Storyboard Text

  • Gilgamesh is the king of the city of Uruk, whose personality is two-thirds god and one-third human. He is strong and brave. and powerful, but he is arrogant and abusive of his power. Because of his abuse, they continued to pray that they would be freed from him.
  • God answered the prayer of his peoples. He sent a man as strong as Gilgamesh, Enkido, Who grew up among the animals in the forest. The two fought, and Gilgamesh won, but eventually they reconciled and became friends.
  • Gilgamesh has joined Enkido in the fight. First, they killed Humbaba, the demon guarding the cedar forest, and then they flattened the forest. When they attempted to defame Ishtar, who expressed lust for Gilgamesh, she sent the Bull of the Sky to destroy the flattened earth as punishment.
  • Gilgamesh and Enkido defeated the bull, but the gods did not allow their lack of respect, so they ordered that one of them must die, and that was Enkido, who died due to a severe illness.
  • Gilgamesh asked the gods for forgiveness and asked them to bring Enkido back to life. The gods agreed, but on one condition: he had to regain trust within a year. He needs to be a worthy leader and lead Uruk in peace.
  • Gilgamesh fulfilled the conditions given to him by the gods. The city of Uruk became happy, prosperous, and peaceful because of Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh was very happy because they revived Enkido, his best friend. He made Enkido his right-hand man, and they both promised that they would rule well and that they would use their skills for the right work.
