- The Devil tempts Jesus the First Time
- If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.
- Jesus Resists Temptation
- It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'
- The Devil tempts Jesus a Second Time
- If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written:#160;“‘He will command his angels concerning you,#160;and they will lift you up in their hands,#160;so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’
- Jesus has been fasting for the past 40 days.#160; The devil tries to tempt him to use His powers to create food. Matthew 4:1-3
