- Hey Jack, I'm throwing a party tonight after school. You should go, It's going to be lots of fun and there's going to be lots of people there drinking.
- Thanks for the invite! I'll see what i'm doing tonight and if I can go or not.
- That party sounds like lot of fun but there's going to be alcohol and drugs and I don't want to be forced to drink or get caught and get in trouble with my parents or the police. But a lot of my friends are going to be there and I don't want to miss out or feel excluded when they are talking about it.Maybe I could still go to the party and have fun with my friends without having to drink or do drugs! But the party could still get shut down by police and I could get in trouble or my parents could find out and I could be grounded.
- (Friend on phone)Hey Jack are you going to Chads party tonight? I heard you were invited but weren't sure if you could go or not
- I will go to the party and have fun with you guys but I'm not going to drink. I'll be the designated driver so I can make sure you and other people get home safely.
- I think that was a good decision because it allows me to still go to the party and have fun with my friends but I also have an excuse to not drink and stay safe.
