Today we are learning about waves and one of my favorite waves is a sound wave because I love music
This lady is playing a beautiful song on the guitar and sound waves are coming from it
There are different types of waves like transverse and longitudinal waves a sound wave is an example of a longitudinal wave
A longitudinal wave a very wavy line and some parts of it is bunched together which is called compression and the looser parts are called rarefaction
Waves are just like these ocean waves they go up and down. And have little bumps depending on the frequency. At the top of a wave that is called a crest and at the bottom that is called a trough. And from they resting position to the crest is called the amplitude. And between each wave is called the wavelength
This sun on my phone is visible light visible light is on the electromagnetic spectrum and part of the electromagnetic wave
light can be refracted, transmitted, and  absorbed. If you look at this blue river is is absorbing the light and we see it as blue.
