  • Okay class we are going on our field trip today
  • What is a wave?
  • Today we are learning about waves and one of my favorite waves is a sound wave because I love music
  • This lady is playing a beautiful song on the guitar and sound waves are coming from it
  • There are different types of waves like transverse and longitudinal waves a sound wave is an example of a longitudinal wave
  • A longitudinal wave a very wavy line and some parts of it is bunched together which is called compression and the looser parts are called rarefaction
  • Waves are just like these ocean waves they go up and down. And have little bumps depending on the frequency. At the top of a wave that is called a crest and at the bottom that is called a trough. And from they resting position to the crest is called the amplitude. And between each wave is called the wavelength
  • This sun on my phone is visible light visible light is on the electromagnetic spectrum and part of the electromagnetic wave
  • light can be refracted, transmitted, and  absorbed. If you look at this blue river is is absorbing the light and we see it as blue.
