- The duke of Athens was soon to marry hippolita the queen of the amazons. During the festival two men (Lysnader and Demetrius) fell in love with a woman named Hermia. Egeus (Hermias farther) did not let her marry Lysander insted wanted her to marry Demetrius.
- Hermia runns away with Lysander. Before she fled she informed her best friend Helena that she was running away. Helena who love Demetrius told him abot their plan. Demetrius was angry with Lysander and planned to follow them into the woods with Helena.
