  • Why can't we all just share?!
  • Because then nobody wins.

  • Native Ameicans believed that the land should be shared as a community; the Europeans disagreed. They wanted private property all to themselves. This caused major war over land, one which the Europeans won.
  • The Trail of Tears
  • Keep moving!
  • When European settlers colonized, they brought forth many great diseases on the Natives they had never experienced beforehand. There were really only negative impacts on the Natives from Europeans. Tjis included loosing lans and their community.

  • African slaves were sold to slave owners to work on cotton plantations ini the south for the most part. They were separated from family and were forced to work in terrible conditions.

  • President Andrew Jackson forced the Native Americans to go to a different state for a certain amount of money and land. On this trip, the weather was very cold; as a result, over 4,000 people died on this trip.
  • Today, Native Americans have less than 10% of their original land. They have terrible qualities, with very few luxiries and small living areas on small land with a lot of people. They deal with a lot of drugs, alcohol and suicides.
  • There is very little resource for everyone
  • On the Middle Passage, African slaves were kidnapped and transportated 300-400 at a time to the Americas from the West Coast of Africa. In addition, the conditions were terrible. Slaves were beat and shoved into small areas together; 20% of all slaves on the Middle Passage died. They were then sold into slavery.
