  • In 1877 Thomas invented thephonograph which is a device that enables you to listen to when, wear, and whatwant to listen to. It was also the first device to be able to record andreproduce sound. He named it the phonograph because it means sound writer.In 1912-1928 Thomas sold845,228-disc phonographs and sold 48,016,387-discrecords.

  • In 1879 Thomas Edison created the light bulb by useing carbon and/or metal filiments.later on they discovered and created a more effective gas to help the light bulb grow. Thomas also had help with this invention from Joseph Swan another inventor.within the first year they produced 50 thousand light bulbs.

  • In 1878 Thomas invented the electric telegraph which is a device that Revolutionized long distance comunication without having to travel days or weeks to talk. Although, the first telegraph was made by Samuel Morse Edison made Samuels invention electric. This automatic telegraph allowed for to operator to tap out the massage , and for the recieving end to record the massage.

  • In 1876 Edison invented the Crabo microphone which is a type of microphone that coverts sound to an electrical audio signal. Soon Thomas would use this invention to help make the telephone. This microphone has to be able to vary a curret passig through it to be able to work. From 1877-1879 Emile Berliner claimed that the carbon microphone was hers and they both fought a lot of legal battles over the patent right, eventualy Edison claimed full right to the invention.

  • In 1891 Thomas invented the Kinetograph this invetion is an early motion- picture exhibition device. This invetion was desighned for one person to see a film through a little peep hole at the top of the machine. this was inveted in the United states by Thomas edison and William Dickson. It worked because the film strip was passed rapidly bettween the lens and an electric light bulb while the viewer viewed ith though the peephole.

  • In 1893 Thomas invented film which is a product that is a work of visual art that simulates experiences. Edison built a studio that could be rotated to capture the correxct amount of sunlight and deminstrated his invention by videoing his workers pretending to be blacksmiths. The first film ever made was in 1888 with a single camera.
