- Today we have with us Doctor Matt Young here to tell us about a virus that has been going around.
- Thank you for having me, Amy. The virus is called Flavivirus and it has made what we call yellow fever. So far the symptoms we have found are fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting, along with yellowing eyes if it is a serious case.
- Ryan just got the Yellow Fever test results back. He found out the virus has single strand of linear RNA. Yellow Fever also has an envelope that covers the sphere shaped virus.That isn't even the bad part. He just found out that the virus is spread by mosquitoes'! And its summer in South America!

- Doctor Rose Just made the vaccine for the Yellow Fever virus. Ryan also found out the virus is mainly found in South America, Central America, and Africa. While the two were studying the samples of the sick people they found that the virus has also been causing Encephalitis and Alkhurma disease.
- Yf-Vax or Yellow Fever vaccine is now out and safe to give out to families to keep them safe. Out of the 200,000 cases each year only about 30,000 of them die. Humans are also not the only ones who can be effected by this virus but also monkeys. Stay safe and use bug spray.
