- The age of Enlightenment also didn't end until the 18th century did.
- The Magna Carta was made during Medieval times (the 13th century) and in it contained that England's people shall have the right to a trial, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and the right to be taxed once but to not be taxed again. The reason why this was such a big deal was because of king John taxing people a lot which could have led to a rebellion. Lucklily, with the Magna Carta this was prevented.
- English Bill of Rights
- Parliment is finally in control, as it should be.
- The Navigation Acts was originally intended to start in the year 1381 but it couldn't happen then due to a lack of ships so it actually started almost three centuries later in the year 1651. Although, the only reason why the Navigation Acts came to fruition was because the Europeans wanted more money than they already had.
- Great Awakening
- Rejoice! In the name of the Lord!
- I would assume the age of Enlightenment shortly began after the Navigation Acts since it began in the mid 17th century. In any case, the age of Enlightenment allowed for those to truly challenge the ideas of modern (their modern) society as well as bring in new ideas for the unthought of/unexplained.
- French and Indian War
- Many people on both sides died during this horrid seven year war.
- Created in 1689, the English Bill of Rights was what made it to where Parliament had power over the monarchy after King James II was overthrown. This would likely later inspire future Americans to create the US Bill of Rights.
- To put it bluntly, the Great Awakening is just religion making a comeback in a secular society thanks to more preachers traveling the world to preach about God.
- The French and Indian or Seven Year war occurred for the same reason most other wars are made. Both sides not only wanted more territory but also wanted said territory for economic gain. Since neither side would back down, the British went to war with the French and Native Americans. Ultimately, the British won which resulted in the Treaty of Paris.
