- I am less likely to reproduce since my fur color makes me stick out more for my prey.
- My genetic mutation is now an advantage
- In the forest lived a species of dark brown rabbits, they have a higher chance of living than the light one because they blend in better.
- Dark Brown rabbits had a competitive advantage over light brown rabbits because they camouflage well. Over time in their genes they will evolve and no longer have light hair.
- Due to evolution thru the means of natural selection, my species has evolved and now have a higher rate of surviving .
- a drought hits the forest resulting in a change of environmental factors. Now the light rabbits has a higher chance of surviving and over time there will now be more light rabbits.
- In order for the process of natural selection to occur, some condition have to be met.
- Because this was a heriditary trait, it was passed down to the future generations, increasing the frequency of light brown rabbits.
- This demonstrates the role of adaptations in maintaning a species alive when their ecosystem changes.
