Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • You think your pretty good, but you're not so much. My father is Zeus."
  • "My father is Apollo, without him we wouldn't have day."
  • Rising Action
  • "My father gave me one of his thunderbolts and taught me how to throw it."
  • "My father has been teaching he how to ride the chariot of sun, he is going to let me drive it alone soon."
  • Rising Action
  • "I wish to drive the sun across the sky. All by myself."
  • "Impossible, no one drives those horses but me!"
  • After racing each other on the side of a cliff, Epaphus gets upset after losing and told Phaethon that his father is the powerful god Zeus who can shoot lightning bolts without missing. Phaethon responds to him by telling him about his father, Apollo, lord of the sun.
  • Climax
  • What is going on?
  • Epaphus tells Phaethon of all the things him and his Father, Zeus do together and then he asks Phaethon if he has ever met his father. Phaethon had never met his father but he couldn't tell Epaphus that so he exaggerates his relationship with his father so much that he says that his father would let him drive the chariot of sun across the sky.
  • Falling Action
  • Die foolish one!
  • Phaethon tells Epaphus that he will circle around his house when he drives the chariot of sun. He goes to his father's palace and asks him for a favor. Apollo says that he will do anything for Phaethon but when he hears, Phaethon wants to drive the chariot, he gets mad. After Phaethon begs and begs, Apollo to let him. Apollo finally gives in.
  • Resolution
  • Wanting to prove Epaphus wrong he drives down to the Earth and when he gets there he is surprised to see that his village is bursting into flames. Causing many people to die.
  • Zeus hears about the danger and deaths and throws one of his lighting bolts at Phaethon, killing him immediately.
  • Nooooooo
  • Apollo was unable to comfort his daughters, therefore, he turned them into trees where their tears became sap the came from their branches.
