  • Indulgences are wrong, people should be saved through faith.
  • Father, we need an indulgence as a requirement for payment for your sins.
  • If I do a sacrament for the Church I can go into heaven.
  • GET YOUR INDULGENCES NOW!
  • I hope we have enough money for an indulgence, mother needs it to get into heaven.
  • Indulgences
  • Lets start our own religious movement
  • The Church has been mistreating us!
  • These are the 95 Theses, they are propositions for indulgences and more.
  • Now I can read the bible I can understand that Martin Luther is right
  • 95 Theses-----------------------------
  • Indulgences
  • Martin Luther was born on the 10th of November 1483 and died at the age of 62. He lived in modern-day Germany, Eisleben Saxony and then his family moved to nearby Mansfield. In 1507 Luther was ordained priesthood. When he became to reject the teachings of the Catholic Church he became a religious reformer in the 16th century as a catalyst, and monk
  • WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!
  • You lied to us!
  • The Church can fix this!
  • Martin Luther wanted to see the Catholic church remove there practises in self-indulgences. Indulgences is something people pay for to reduce the amount of punishment one must experience for sins. Luther became increasingly angry from indulgences because instead of depending on the Catholic church for salvation each person could be individually saved.
  • You are herby excommunicated
  • Martin Luther is an enemy of the state from conspiracies against the Catholic Church.
  • Here I stand, I can do no other, God help me Amen
  • To connivence people the Catholic church is mistreating Martin Luther translated the bible into German so they could read it. People realised their own opinions on what religion should be about. He also nailed a copy of the 95 Theses on the door on the Wittenberg Church on the 31st of October, 1517. This contained reason that God intended believers to seek repentance and faith alone, and not deeds would lead to salvation. This then started a religious movement, the Protestant Reformation.
  • We are known as Jesuits. Our group was used to spread the word of God
  • From result of the protestant reformation, it created a branch of Christianity called Protestantism. This name was used collectively to refer to the many religious groups that separated from the Roman Catholic Church due to difference in doctrine. After Luthers action the Church desperately tried to fix the mess Luther made.
  • In response to the protestant reformation the Catholic Church trialled Martin Luther at the Diet of Worms. The Diet of Worms was an assembly convened to determine how authorities should respond to Luthers teachings. During the trial Martin Luther refused to renounce his propositions, burned the Papal Bull and so he was declared an enemy, outlaw, heretic and was excommunicated from Wittenberg permanently.
  • These groups were created by the Catholic Church in the 1500s to serve to continue the mission of God. Jesuits were formed to create educational facilities to spread the word of God. The Council of Trent took into account half of the Luthers Theses and made a legal doctrine that said they wouldn't support indulgences. These actions from the Church created a new movement called the counter-reformation.
  • We are the Council of Trent. We were formed to right the wrongs of the Roman Catholic Church.
