- In Eckel's ordinary world, he lives in a world that has time travel and it's open to the public. However, the price you have to pay for going back in time cost greatly. Eckel is one of many that is interested in going back in time.
- Test, Enemies, Allies (6), Approach (7)
- Eckel's is very anxious to go back in time but seems he is more excited about going to see dinosaurs. When he sees the time machine he immediately knew that he would continue on with his quest. Eckel's becomes a little nervous when reading the liability paper. He doesn't like that he may be harmed in the process of everything it scares him.
- Ordeal (8)/Reward (9)
- Eckel meets Lesperance, his mentor, and he is leading him along this expedition of the future. Lesperance has to explain the rules and consequences carefully that come along with Eckel being there with him in the past. The most important thing Lesperance says to him is to not disturb anything from the past. Once Eckel gets into that machine and going into the past there is no going back.
- The road back (10)/ Resurrection (11)/The Return (12)
- The test that Eckel has to face is his fear of the t-rex. As soon as he saw the T-Rex his fear takes over his body and he made a run for it. Not even noticing he steps off the path. His enemy is Travis and he threaten to shoot him and leave him there to die. Lesperance stopped Travis from doing both of those things.
- Stop or I will shoot
- Hey both you stop!!
- For Eckel to come home with the two of them, Travis told Eckel he needed to remove the bullets from the T-rex. Eckel would do whatever they told him to do and he even offered to pay however much the penalty was. Once he had gotten the bullets from the T-rex he was able to go back home and get away from this past
- let's just leave him here.
- I'll pay anything
- When Eckel returns back to his ordinary world everything had changed. The office from the start had changed completely when he first was in there. The president that was elected (Keith) before was not elected as president. He lost the election. All of this happened because when he stepped off course scared for his life he accidently killed a butterfly. Which had changed the future and offset the balance.
