Storyboard Text

  • The story starts off with older Scout writing about the beginning of her life's main events from when she was younger., including the introduction of characters and small but important events.
  • Climax
  • The children try to contact Boo Radley in the Radley house, but they almost get caught, barely getting away. All neighbors hear Mr. Radley's gun and surround the front of the house. During the escape Jem got stuck and lost his pants, so after everyone leaves he goes to retrieve them.
  • Falling action
  • Rumors, hate, and insults about the Tom Robinson case keep going around the town, causing the children to do things they aren't used to or "supposed" to, and we learn a lot of new information about the children and society.
  • Resolution
  • The children go to watch the Tom Robinson case's Trial, We learn a lot about other characters, including Atticus, and we learn more about society itself at the time. The children also learn a lot, and they mature a bit more from this experience since it was such a big change in sight to them.
  • Scout and Jem get followed and attacked in the dark while walking home from Scout's school pageant and have to fight for survival
  • The sheriff, doctor, Scout, Atticus, Arthur (Boo), and Alexandra think about the attack while taking care of Jem, and they realize that Boo killed Bob Ewell (who was attacking the children) and they made a cover-up story.
