- Ananias, with permission from his wife, Sapphira, sold a piece of property but kept some of the money for himself, which he brought before Peter. Peter was disappointed, and Ananias fell over and died. When Sapphira came to Peter later, Peter questioned her about the money; she also fell down and died.The consequence of them lying was death.
- As the Apostles gathered in cities, people flocked to them but didn't join them. The sick were brought to the streets in order for the apostles to heal them. People with sickness or unclean spirits were all cured.
- The high priest of the Sadducees had the apostles arrested, but an angel freed them and told them to teach the people in the temple. The next day the high priest and those with him went to persecute the apostles, but a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law,l stood up for them. The Apostles were free to leave.
