Storyboard Text

  • This interphase this is when the cells do nothing but live and do cell things. There are 46 chromosomes.
  • The first step in mitosis is prophase. The spindles are forming, the nuclear membrane disappears and is no more. Now thr DNA and chromosomes are now visible.
  • The Second step in mitosis is metaphase. The chromosomes become to line up straight in an orderly fashion. They line up in the middle.
  • Next, after the metaphase comes the Anaphase. The chromosmes are being pulled to opposite side by the spindle fibers..
  • The final step of mitosis is telophase. Nuclear membranes form around the two new sets of chromosomes. The spindle fiber disappears. The chromosomes begin to loosen up and become less visible. Cells start to make new cells.
  • Once mitosis is complete, the clls are in cytokensis and each identical cell is left with 23 chromosomes. If something might go wrong you might have cancer or your cells won't function properly.
