- Griffin's invisibility is discovered, so he flees Iping and go to port stow and speak with Mr. Kemp about how he became invisible

- Kemp betrays Griffin by alerting the police of his presence, but he escapes, initiating a huge manhunt to capture him.
- Resolution
- Griffin begins his reign of terror by trying to kill Kemp.
- A mob of men corner Griffin and viciously beat him.
- Griffin dies and his body becomes visible.
