  • When the servant ate a piece of the white snake., in order to fill inn his own curiosity he decided to do it out of free will.

  • When the servant went a different path in order to help the ants, he decided on his own to help those ants and in a sense save them.
  • When the servant decided to kill his horse to help the ravens, no one asked him or forced him to do something so cruel to the horse, he did it on his own accord in order to help the ravens gain some food.
  • When the servant tried to take get wed to the princess, one of the tasks set by the king. Was to throw the ring in a lake and have the servant find it. Because he saved teh fish days before, they returned the favor a way of gratitude and fate that would happen since if you do something good fate has something come back to you for good.
  • After completing the task given by the king, The princess and servant met, and while unhappy with the difference in social status, the princess had a task for the servant to do. She had Millet spread around the garden and asked him to clean all of it up before the end of the day, The helpful ants that he chose to save had come back because of fate and helped him out with the task.
  • Upon completing the task of the princess, she decided that maybe he is worthy of her but decided to put him through one last task in order to prove It. She asks him to get her a golden apple and bring it back to her and if he does then they can be married. After traveling days without a horse and little rest, he decided to take rest under a tree, where the raven he help out came back to him by fate and brought him the golden apple he needed.
