- Mom my friend invited me to go fishing with them. Is it okay If I can go.

- What did students do during the Covid-19 pandemic? The year was 2020, It was the middle of the covid-19 pandemic. Due to social distancing, everyone was doing their classes online. Parents were working from home, or they were taking safety precautions at work. Children mostly stayed home and played or watched on their electronic devices.

- It was a Wednesday afternoon, I just got done with online school. Just when I was about to start my homework I hear my phone ringing. When I picked my phone up it was my friend JhayR. He was calling for help on the history homework but then his dad walked into his room and wanted to know if I wanted to go fishing with them. I was exited because this would be the first time I went fishing. I told him let me ask my mom if I can go.

- I tested my mom that my friend invited me to go fishing and asked if I can go with them. My mom asked me if I knew when they were going fishing, which I didn't know. so I had to ask JhayR. He texted me that they were going this Saturday. Which then I told my mom. She said yes I can go fishing with them this Saturday.

- JhayR's dad invited my friend and me to a barbeque they were having. They picked me up and my friend. When we got to JhayR's house it was around 6 pm. We watched comedy movies and talked about a lot of things. When the food was ready, we got up went to the table, and ate. When we were done, we finished the movie and my friend had to go. We got in the car and dropped him off. When we got back to JhayR's house we got ready for bed because we were waking up at5 am the next day.
- We walked to the bait shop and bought our bait. We set up our spot at a dock they usually went to. We waited around 2 hours until JhayR got a bite. I helped him reel the fish in and when it got close enough, we brought it up with the net. The fish that JhayR caught was about 1 1/2 feet long.
- No way!
- I was exited that my friend caught a fish.
- Help, I got one!
- After fishing, I became more patient with the world around me. Instead of thinking about why this person is not doing something faster, I think what is making this person slower. This experience was important to me because it showed me that things don’t go your way and you can’t do anything about that except accept it. I learned that being patient will be worth it in the end because even though I didn’t catch a fish I had fun learning and hanging out with my friend.
