- Marigolds is a story that takes place in a place of poverty during the great depression. Were here family is trying to get by. Lizabeth then grows out of her childhood phase while realizing a lot of things.
- climax
- Lizabeths and friends go to miss lotties house and throw rocks at her bushes of flowers. One day the had gotten caught and it made Lizabeth upset because her parents found out and she never seen her parents react like that.
- falling action
- She runs out the house of anger and sadness with her brother chasing her trying to stop her from doing something dumb
- resolution
- once she gets to the miss Lottie's house she goes into the garden and starts ripping the marigolds with all the force and anger from everything
- Miss Lottie see's and she just stares at her with no type of anger or anything. Lizabeth then cry's in fear as well and starts realizing the immature things she has done.
- with Lizabeth's actions she has realized a lot of things. Her innocence has gone away and her maturity comes in. Living in a time with such dark sides and poverty everyone was just trying to make it through those hard times. Marigolds were a symbol of there being light/hope in such a dark time .
