  • Mom: ARE YOU READY!?!!
  • This is a big game. Kinda nervous. . .
  • YESSS
  • This game is really important and I want you to do good. This game is your ticket to the tournament.
  • I am not sure I am going to do really good, but I do not want to doubt myself.
  • I know I am going to try my best.
  • GO BLUE!!
  • Will we win?!??
  • I am not sure I can do this. What if I fail my time, I would feel horrible.
  • I got home from school and started to get ready for my soccer game. I was usually nervous before games so it was nothing new, but this game was more important. It would qualify our team for a tournament. The pressure was making me more nervous than usual. I kept it to myself though because I wanted to seem confident.
  • I think you should take the ball all the way to the goal and get our win. You have the ability to do it.
  • Ok, I will try!!!
  • Here I was walking with my dad to the soccer game. The field was close to our home so we just walked there. On our way there my dad talked to me about how the game was important and that put some pressure. I was feeling a mixture of nervousness and pressure and was not sure how it would play out.
  • ITS GOING TO GO IN!!!!
  • COME ONNN DEFENSE!!!
  • There were 2 minutes left to the game. We were tied so a single goal would make it or break it. Everyone cheered on. In my head I was nervous and anxious. Ultimately it would come up to me.
  • WOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  • I am proud of you.
  • I feel so good. I'm proud of myself too.
  • My coach yells at me from the sidelines. He says that I should just take the ball and dribble my way to the goal. There I take the shot and make my team proud. I was doubting myself, but I told my coach I would try rather than I cannot.
  • I listened to my coach and went for it. I got passed the defense and all that stood in front of me was the goal. I knew I had to make it and I took my shot. GOALLL! With a swift kick the ball goes in and the crowd goes wild.
  • Everyone cheered loudly. There was so much excitement and my team was so happy. Through all that cheering, I focused on my dad's words. They were what I wanted to hear. I realized not to doubt myself and that I can do anything with my confidence. I made myself proud.
