English colonists were not allowed to move to attractive lands in the west because of the proclamation of 1763, this created a boundary line between the British colonies and Native American territory, using the Appalachian Mountains as the boundary which then prohibited American colonists from settling west o Appalachia. This was designed to prevent colonial tension between the Native Americans and the colonist due to the French and Indian War.
Townshend Acts
NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
The Sugar Act was aimed at ending the smuggling trade in sugar and molasses from the French and Dutch West Indies. It was also meant to provide increased income for the British Empire. It reduced the amount of tax that colonists had to pay on molasses by half but increased the enforcement of the law.
Boston Massacre
This was a law passed by the British government and it meant that all legal documents and printed papers used in the American colonies had to have an official stamp. This was meant to help plenish their finances after the costly Seven years War with France. part of the revenue from the Stamp act would be used to maintain several regiments of British soldiers in North America to maintain peace between Natives and the colonists.

It was a series of measures, passed by the British Parliament in 1767, that taxed goods important to the American colonies, but the colonists who had no representation in Parliament, saw the acts as an abuse of power. They would use the revenue raised by the duties to pay salaries of colonial governors and judges. this led to the American revolution and declaration of Independence.

The Boston Massacre was a signal event leading to the Revolutionary War, it led directly to the Royal Governor evacuating the occupying army from the town of Boston. it would soon bring the revolution to armed rebellion throughout the colonies.
There was tea involved, but nobody was drinking it. The Boston Tea Party was a protest by the American Colonists against the British government. They staged the protest by boarding three trade ships in Boston Harbor and throwing the ships cargo of tea overboard into the ocean. they threw 342 chests of tea into the water which was million of dollars in tea that got wasted. This also led to the Revolutionary War
