- Did you know that U.S citizens have many different Duties and responsibilities to fulfill? These can range from benefits to being a citizen, to mandatory duties that have to be followed.
- Mandatory duties of a U.S citizen include obeying the law, paying taxes, serving on a jury when summoned, and registering with the selective service.
- While these mandatory duties may seem annoying or tedious, it's what allows our country to keep thriving and stay a safe place.
- Voluntary responsibilities of a U.S citizen include voting, staying informed of what's happening, being involved in the community, and pass on these duties and responsibilities to future generations.
- Unlike the mandatory duties of a U.S citizen, the voluntary responsibilities are not required to be followed. However, doing so will benefit you, and our country.
- These duties and responsibilities are very important. Everyone must follow the mandatory duties because they heavily impact other's while the voluntary responsibilities are not required. As long as a majority of people follow these responsibilities, our governmental system can stay balanced.
